Filing a backflow test report to the City of Maple Ridge

Where it goes

Reports go to the BUILDING DEPARTMENT, not to the Cross Connection Control Officer: “all testing reports submitted to the Building Department for review”. No email address or postal route is published for it.

Maple Ridge publishes no form, no cross connection control page and no intake address. The duty to file exists; the destination does not. If you have been told where to send it, we would like to know — see below.

How often, and by when

Annually. The report is due within 30 days of the test.

Whatever the deadline, the report only stands if your test kit was in calibration on the day. Most programmes require it every twelve months, and a lapsed kit does not slow you down — it stops you filing at all. We will email you before yours lapses, free.

Worth knowing

The Cross Connection Control Officer is real and is the wrong destination — that post inspects commercial, industrial and institutional buildings. We named it here for a year and it was wrong; the City’s own page names the Building Department.
